St Austell Ladies Vs Bude 1

Bude vs St Austell

The goals came thick and fast right from the start with Saints scoring 3 goals within the first 8 minutes, the ball was built up from our first push back, passed up to Maisie on right, then to Vicky, who slipped the ball across the D to Kellie who was beautifully positioned to find the backboard. 0-1

The second goal was another assist from Vicky, she passed it to Char on the P spot and Char finished it with a strong strike. 0-2

The third goal; Laura received the ball from Vicky and dribbled it into the D, she slipped it to Maisie who did her classic reserve strike and caught the keeper off guard. 0-3

Further into the first half, it was Vicky's turn to get a goal of her own; she dribbled the ball up through the middle of the pitch and slipped a shot straight past the keeper. 0-4

Bude managed to get one back from a short corner just before half-time. 

Half-time 1-4 to St. Austell 

Unfortunately the next half was full of close misses for Saints. Multiple short corners that didn't quite find the backboard, an impressive aerial shot from Char which just missed the top right corner and then a miss on the left post. 

Bude also had a couple of chances, but the half remained goaless.

Saints' passion found them in receipt of a couple of green cards, and a yellow towards the end of the game...... Leaving us with 10 players for the last few minutes. The captain did ask for passion this week and this is what has put us back on form.
