St. Austell u8 mixed Vs Various

The last U8 Festival saw the team travel to Penryn with a run of 9 matches ahead of them. The first match was against Truro and St Austell started strong with some great passing between them brilliantly St Austell came out as 4-0 winners. 

Next up was Newquay 1s and it was even game for the most part but the team worked hard when attack scoring two late on to win 2-0. 

Third game was against Newquay 2s with the team quickly scoring which was followed by five more final score 6-0.

Next up Caradon another tight game but St Austell prevailed winning 2-0. 

Fifth game the opponents were Bude Buffaloes stalemate for most of the match but again St Austell came up with a winner final score 1-0. 

Next up were Falmouth who took an early lead but St Austell worked hard to get an equaliser but to no avail with Falmouth winning 1-0 to inflict St Austell with their first loss. 

Next up was Penzance who also took the lead early then St Austell strived to equalise but got caught on the break with a second for Penzance. A second loss of the day. 

Eighth match was against Caradon who scored early on but St Austell fought back with some great play after Caradon came close to a second but were denied by some great defending by the team. St Austell gained control and scored 3 quick goals to win 3-1. 

Last game was against The All Stars team made up of mostly Truro players. The game was tight with St Austell pressing but being denied by some goal line clearances but the hard work paid off the a goal late on with a final 1-0 score. 

Great effort from the whole team with all players contributing. Impressive improvement of these young players throughout the season.  Many thanks to all of the team also for helping Bude out to make their numbers up for their two teams. Lastly thank you to parents and grandparents for their support
