Match Report

As the first whistle went it didn't take super striker Charlotte Jarman long to find her way into the D, scoring her first goal of the game just 4 minutes in.

Falmouth then picked themselves up and began to build and put pressure on Saints defence line, causing Debbie James , Lindsay Allen and Susie James to make some important tackles and clearances and Roxanne King to prepare for action.

Back in possession, the ball moved well around the pitch and we were back in a strong attacking position. A cross from the right found Maisie Grace in the D who slotted the ball into the back of the net.

A short time later, the ball was moving around the midfield allowing Miranda Ball and Yasmin Barrott to pop the ball up to the Saints forward line, where they were able to find Jarman who struck the ball into the bottom left corner.

Next up was Laura Tregunna who was able to scoop the ball up and bag a goal with a lovely strike from the top of the D.

This was closely followed by Hermione Crowle who made a lovely run into the D and cooly slapped the ball past the Falmouth keeper.

Kellie Williams was making some fantastic runs and strong tackles at the top of the pitch creating some great opportunities for the team.

The final goal of the first half came from Bethany Horwell who was positioned perfectly on the post to pop the ball into the goal.

Half time 6-0.

The beginning of the second half was a slower start with Falmouth making some dangerous attacks and keeping possession of the ball.

Eventually Saints were able to re group and Crowle was able to grab another goal from the post.

This was quickly followed up by Horwell who popped up in just the right place again for the 8th goal of the game.

Jarman then grabbed 2 more brilliant goals for herself, with her usual skill and powerful strikes.

Barrott was able to get herself on the score sheet, driving into the D and releasing a powerful reverse strike into the left corner.

In the final seconds of the game Horwell was back again in the perfect position and grabbed another goal on the post for her hatrick.

Final score: St Austell 12-0 Falmouth 3's.
